Meet the builder
Avery L. Hansen is a prop and costume fabricator based in the unceded territories of the Kwikwetlem, Musqueam, Squamish, Stó:lō and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
It all started when Avery found out that Halloween only came once a year as a child, and decided that that just wasn't enough. Now in her fourth year as a Visual Arts major at Emily Carr University of Art + Design, she is completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts while building for film, theatre, and commissions from clients.
Her practice spans prop and armour foam fabrication, painting and weathering, fibre arts, and silicone and plaster mould making.
